Residential Interior Design in Cheshire

We work closely with private clients across Cheshire to understand and interpret their vision for home. From substantial period residences in Alderley Edge and Prestbury to elegant homes in Wilmslow, Knutsford and Hale, our work responds to the character of each property and the way our clients choose to live within it. Our talented team understands how a space flows, how light and texture work together & how each element tells a story - always with the discretion, craftsmanship and quiet elegance that designing at this level deserves.
“Working with Simon on the full renovation of our first home was an experience we’ll always be grateful for. From the very beginning, he truly understood our vision, not just in terms of style, but how we wanted our home to feel. Our brief was to create a space that was warm and cosy, modern yet still respectful of the character of our Victorian home, and he absolutely delivered!!ˮ

Our Process

Interior Design Manchester
01. Consultation
We start with a discovery call on the phone or via video call, followed by an in-person design consultation. This initial stage is about understanding how you live, your aspirations, and the atmosphere you wish to create along with important information about the project. After gathering this insight, we'll present you with a tailored fee proposal. Once accepted, we proceed to the next stage.

02. Concept Design
We explore initial ideas through mood boards, space layouts, and preliminary sketches. At this stage, we want to understand what resonates with you and encourage you to share images and ideas. This helps us define the overall aesthetic, spatial flow, and character of your interiors. Once we present the options, we refine any areas based on your feedback and arrive at a clear direction aligned with your vision.

03. Design Development
Here, your approved concept evolves into detailed plans. This includes CAD floor plans, elevations, lighting layouts, electrical plans, and specifications for bespoke joinery. We finalise layouts for key spaces like kitchens and bathrooms, along with window treatments, wall finishes, flooring, and carefully selected materials. We then meet to present all of the materials and finishes in person.

What should I look for when choosing a luxury interior designer?
A consistent body of work, a clear point of view, and a process you can trust. Review completed projects rather than mood boards. Ask how decisions are made, how the studio communicates, and who will lead your project day to day. The relationship matters as much as the portfolio - you'll be making significant decisions together over a sustained period of time.
Do you work throughout Cheshire?
Yes - across the county and the wider golden triangle, including Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Prestbury, Knutsford, Hale and Bowdon. Our studio is in Manchester, a short distance from all of them, which means we're genuinely hands-on throughout each project rather than managing from afar.
What kinds of Cheshire homes do you design?
Everything from listed and period country homes to substantial new-builds and gated residences. Each project is led by the character of the property and the way our client wishes to live — there's no house style imposed, only a considered response to the home in front of us.
Can you work alongside our architect or developer?
Yes. We work closely with architects, developers, and project managers and are experienced at joining a project at any stage. For new builds and developments we review architectural plans and coordinate from the design phase. We can also recommend trusted partners from our professional network where needed.
Can you work with period and listed properties?
Yes, and each calls for a different kind of care. Heritage and listed homes ask us to preserve what defines them while introducing contemporary design with restraint — working sensitively with original architecture and, where needed, alongside the relevant consents and specialists.
